The Perfect Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Astrological Sign
This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement within the community. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers ahead of the title's launch, to trainers forming strong opinions on the full lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given numerous of the Super Forms boasting unique designs that emphasize their personalities, one thought naturally: How can link this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes Aries far more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Stay on the good side of either and enjoy a powerful ally; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its standard and Mega form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the creature and a Bull are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Many previous official descriptions note their craving for sweet sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Look at this total royalty. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the life of any gathering, providing an endless stream of gossip to those who wish to listen. Much like an captivating, sociable Twins, it's incredibly easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their tales. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which seems very like a people-smart Twins.
The Crab – Super Manectric
Cancer is widely considered as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign famous for often getting wrapped up in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Crab crash-out. It is also known for its ability to create a storm cloud over its own self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their good time.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you think I was going to select Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being too fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo brings to the scene. Starmie is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a show, albeit for aliens.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The ever-prepared and constantly-worried Virgo is perfectly encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly judgmental is strongly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole evolutionary chain, from a always surprised face like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s just like the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” rather than creating a plan.
The Scales – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, sensitive being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how people are emotionally by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a detriment – and striving to keep the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would probably benefit from Super Audino's abilities. However, to be frank, it would likely just make them stress more about others.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic origin: Discarded as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and vowed revenge on its former owner. Per the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a show. As a Sagittarius personally, the number of occasions I’ve called myself some version of a “silly small jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “flexes to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can imagine.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to predict disasters ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who often always think they’re right. Interestingly, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Super Form that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-fire placement that is closest to a fire sign – its sister sign is Leo, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame typing fits perfectly with this, and the Mega’s general daunting aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
