This latest animated series, the newest animated adventure by the beloved role-playing group, revealed a new opening credits. It showcases our favorite cast of misfits, misfits, and rogues fighting hard and taking names, while teasing at multiple heart-wrenching personal histories for characters including the voice actor's mage Caleb, and Travis Willingham's orc warlock, Fjord.

All in all, the intro looks stunning. However, I felt that an element was lost in the song choice.

This sequence employs "Welcome to the Continent", a truly stellar composition composed by artist Colm McGuinness. This piece from the official score of the same name, the second release released by the production company's music division their music brand. It's a wonderful sentimental choice, and I believe that fans of the second campaign will appreciate its presence.

But for me, The series' intro doesn't quite capture the excitement and excitement that accompanied the second campaign's live-play sessions. "It's Your Turn", written by musician Jason Charles Miller, became an immediate hit in my view when it was initially unveiled in 2015, and it improved further when cast member Sam Riegel wrote words to the melody for the animated Campaign 2 opening in the later year.

Featuring vocals from Ashley Johnson, Laura Bailey, a co-star, as well as Riegel himself, the song was memorable and fun. At the time, I hadn't even watched the follow-up series at that point, but it was so infectious that I kept it on my phone. This track that excites you before you start an installment of adventurous fun.

The Mighty Nein's intro with "the new song" doesn't strike the same chords for me. It's an impressive composition, but from what I know of the group, I feel that its tone is somewhat mismatched.

Of course, Critical Role has stated that the series will have a few surprises and variations from the actual-play campaign. A tonal change for its intro appears as among these.
