Jurgen Klopp, who departed from Anfield in 2024, indicated that returning someday remains something that could happen. The 58-year-old, following a hugely successful near-decade reign that included Champions League success and the Reds’ first league title in 30 years, has since taken on positions overseeing worldwide football within the Red Bull organization and in an advisory capacity for the DFL.
Fan Sentiment and His Frank Comments
They secured the Premier League last season, yet numerous supporters who revere Klopp would be thrilled by the notion that he may eventually return. During an extensive chat, he explained to Steven Bartlett: “I stated I will never coach a different club on English soil. Therefore if then it’s Liverpool...yeah. In theory, it could happen.”
“Being 58, so I could make the decision down the line, who knows. Must I choose now? If so, I wouldn't return. Luckily, no such pressure exists. I'll simply watch how things unfold.”

“I don’t miss the dressing room per se, yet sharing a meal with the players talking freely, is pleasant. Success was frequent so there was often a very good mood at the club. I can still hear the captain's chuckle ringing in my ears for example.”

He spoke highly of the current boss, crediting him for the adjustments that took the title last campaign. Liverpool have lost four consecutive matches across various tournaments post heavy investment, though he denied the idea that it might signal a decline.
“[Liverpool have] a top-class attacker such as Wirtz, you will all eat your words if spoken against. He’s an incredible talent. [Hugo] Ekitike, superb talent. It’s a really good balanced team. Fans shouldn't fret about Liverpool, they will be fine.”

“How do you replace a person like him? It’s not about his footballing ability, it's his character. I can’t imagine the team environment absent his presence. I find it difficult to discuss regarding this. A profound tragedy for his teammates as well. Nobody at Liverpool will ever use it for poor performances though it's a fact. You walk in a dressing room which he filled completely. Coping with it emotionally is difficult. Impossible.”
